I was waxing my car today and I noticed that the spoiler (stock) seemed really loose...when i push on the rear of it the front of the part where it attaches to the car goes up about a quarter of an inch frown. How do I get back there to tighten it? Does the plastic inside the car (under the spoiler) just yank off I guess since there aren't any screws? Thanks-

glad you got it taken care of...now you know how simple it is to replace your spoiler if you eve wanted to (celica-specific spoilers use the same holes) thumbsup

Yeah...I've had trouble the last couple months with water leaking in my trunk as well, but I'm hoping it was coming in there? I guess we'll see grin

it's very possible. water likes to collect around the spoiler openings (or any other odd surface--because it 'sticks'). so if the holes were loose around the celica stands water is very likely to seep inside.

I am new to celicahobby. I have a white 1991 Celica 2.2 L auto convertible that need s some work. (work in progress)I have a loose rear spoiler too. I undid the trunk lid lining, removed the three screws holding spoiler to trunk lid, and then the screws on each side of the spoiler. However I cannot seem to tighten the spoiler down, near release the spoiler from the trunk lid.
does anyone have some specifics or photos?
Thanks,
David
