so, to begin with, i had injured my back at work...again, by moving over 20,000 pounds of material (mostly drywall stuff), between monday and wednesday. so, on thursday 1-29-04, i was going to go to the chiropractor. but, before that, i got back from class, at about 11:30am, and my girlfriend tells me that she heard my car alarm go off. i go downstairs, and sure as shit, a board from the fence had blown off, and hit my car scratching my front drivers side fender, a-pillar, and under my rearview. i was of course pretty angry. i find out that a landscaping contractor had been in that day (they had been working on a project for the past couple months), and that they had to go behind the fence, and so had to take it apart and put it back. when i called the contractor, he was an ass, and was like "well its windy today, so boards are going to be flying off." does this make any sense to anyone? if they know that its windy, then shouldnt they take the proper precautions so that things like this dont happen? so anyway, i set a meeting with one of the foremen, and i go back to work, then to the chiropractor, then to meet the guy. so the next day, i made an appointment to meet with my academic advisor, to see when i would be graduating, since i know it is sometime soon, and my parents had agreed to pay for my tuition this semester (i have been paying my own way through school for the past three and a half to four years) if i went to see an advisor. so i go see my advisor, and she has some interesting news for me. i was done with all my credits...LAST SEMESTER. thats right folks, i had been going to class for a couple weeks and i didnt need to. and because its been a month or so into the semester so i could only get half my tuition back (which hopefully my parents are still paying for), but thats better than nothing. long story short (but not really since this is a pretty long story), i finally was able to get some compensation for the landscapers crap, and i will be graduating this spring from the university of hawaii at manoa with a bachaelors degree in japanese langauge. just wanted to share that

i wish i could. i got a quote from a guy that wanted to repaint it all, and when i told the landscaper the total, he said it was too high, and referred me to the company he deals with (probably a relative of his) and they wanted to buff it out. i didnt know what to do, so i got a quote from his guy, and got that amount from him. i wanted to have it repainted, but i guess thats not going to happen. im going to have a friend buff it out for free. ill post some pics of the damage as soon as i can (i dont have a digi cam)
