Okay, now we could go round and round about the whole auto vs. manual subject. Many people say that it's not worth it to put many performance upgrades on an automatic. But ...

I have a Triptonic 01 GTS, that I'd love to throw a turbo into. Is it truely worth the money? What problems might I run into, and what am I looking at in costs? idunno

I dont think the ecu can handle a turbo and the automatic transmission...

I feel the same way you do cause I have an auto GTS too. Let me know how it turns out thumbsup

Yea, I would trade it in for a manual GTS, and just do some upgrading from there, that way you won't run into NEAR as many problems

Ok, of course manual transmissions are a better choice for doing mods such as a turbo.

Does she have a manual trans? No.

Would it be a wise financial decision to trade it in for a manual just so she could turbo it? No.

Is she trying to build this big and mighty race car? No. I'm sure she's just trying to make a fun daily driver to kick some ass ever so often.

Of course you can go faster with a manual trans but who cares. There has been a turbo auto GTS. It is possible. It's just that you can't use an apex'i power fc with an auto trans because i'm almost certain that the power fc doesn't have auto trans functions. Anything is possible.

Thank you!! Nice to see someone with a little faith happywink thumbsup

I'm going to do a lot of looking into it before I go with such a drastic investment. Just looking for a little insight, aside from the "just get a manual" opinions. Thanks again luv.
