Ok, i recently got burnt by a WRX. I have been saving up for some major body mods ( RMM Kit and RMM Carbon Fiber wing, MR2 vents, fender flares, Carbon Fiber hood, move gas door, repaint Lamborghini Orange) however in light of my recent defeat, some friends of mine are saying get the XS turbo and show him a celica can be fast. I guess they only thing making me lean towards looks is that your car is always visible and your not always racing. Any suggestions? Or is this one of those...do what you want type things.
i would get turbo ANY day over appearence mods if i had the money. but if you really want to just be the fastest car out there y did you get an NA FWD four cilinder?

If you do go with turbo, I would definately not go with XS cause they seem to have not perfected their kit and are unwilling to assist with problems. do a search for posts about the xs kit. As for whether to do appearance or performance, it depends on a few things. is your car still under warranty, how often do your actually race... I would recommend doing a little of both. for a third of the cost of turbo'ing you can get nitros and then have that power whenever you really need it, plus you can do the RMM kit or something. dont have to necessarily do all the appearance mods you listed.

nos is a good choice, but with a GTS you cant put too much juice into the motor. ive herd that a 35shot is the most you should safly do in a GTS, while a 75 is the max for a GT when doing runs over and over again

I have always heard that the GTS could run a 50 shot...hmm thats the first ive heard of the 35shot limit. If i do decide to get NOS, i would definitely not use it all the time like while speeding out of the driveway hehe...so if i limit how many times i use it in during a certain time...i should be good with a 50 right? like a few runs at the track and maybe saturday nights when i know i really need it...kind of a last resort. One more thing...wet dry or fogger system for NOS?

Exactly.
Use all that saved up money as a down payment on a wrx. If you want a great handling, good-looking car, then keep the celica and mod it

It's up to you dude, just keep in mind celicas are exactly "fast" cars. You can make them fast, but with a lot of money...I am going with looks, and a few performance mods such as intake, exhaust, etc.
See I would save up a little more. Buy the turbo kit, while also using that you saved some more and then put on appearance mods. As for me I want a car that is fast and has all the great aspects of the celicas appearance.

I guess that I've always thought NOS is a little bit of a cheap way to win a race. It's not actually proving your car is faster, because you don't have that power except for the 10 seconds you're in the actual race.
If you want speed, either save up for a good quality turbo, or trade in your car. Either way will be almost the same cost, really. A GTS can take a stock WRX with a few small mods and a good driver, but it'll never feel like some blazing-fast car.
I'm just a crosshair I'm just a shot away from you
dude just stick to wut you want. dont make ur friends confuse/convince u. you seem you prefered looks, so go for it. if you wanna make ur car unique, then save some money and get a 3s-gte swap.
