Celica Forums General Discussion General Cigarette Lighter won't work

hey, i think i might have a blown fuse on my cigarette lighter, i'm assuming it's on the fuse panel on the passenger side, but i don't know which one it is, and doesn't look like it's posted in the owner's manual...anyone know what it is? my problem is there is no power to it (i hooked up a light to it and it didn't light up) and the cigarette lighter won't stay down, it just pops back up and doesn't heat...HELP!

yeah same thing happened to me and it wasn't the fuse. If you take off the plastic center council piece around shifter, you'll see that it might be a wire that comes loose from the cig. unit. just plug back in and good to go.

yeah, that's what i thought it was right away, so i took it off and it's still plugged in, plus hte ring of light around the lighter still lights up, and that's on the same wire that runs the lighter it looks like

my cig lighter pops right out too...but when i hold it down...it heats up...so i didnt make a big deal of it

yeah, i just bought some neons for my subs, wanted to see how they looked before i hard wire them in, oh well, guess i'll have to assume they look good! p.s. happy 100th post to me
