I know that the Kazuma exhaust is illegal on the streets, but the exhaust appeals to me because it is a cat-back exhaust. My question is, how many decibles does this thing produce at idle, at like 3000 RPM, and at lift? I've been looking around, and the only performance reviews I can find are for the TRD exhaust, and not the racing Kazuma.

Also, anyone have an idea on what the gains are for the Kazuma? Most likely only a few more than the TRD exhaust, but it's a lot cheaper, so that appeals to me to.

One more thing...
The reason I wanna know how loud it is around 3000 RPM is because if I were to pass a cop or something, would it still be within legal limits if I upshifted to a higher gear and kept the RPM's low?

Any feedback would be appreciated, and I tried searching the forums for any information about any of this in the past, but I came up with little to nothing. If anyone has any links pointing to anything I mentioned above, please post them, and excuse me for asking a question more than once, for I tried to search to the best of my ability.

Thanks in advance. thumbsup

you will be owned when you pass a cop.. the only thing which you can do is put ur car in neutral and get foot off the gass.. that is what i have to do all the time.. but i already got fucked with a ticket for a loud muffler because the cop followed me up a hill and i had to hit the gas.. this is a very loud exhaust so unless you got the extra money to pay for tickets i wouldnt get it.. yes its cheap , yes it has the most hp , yes is coolest shit to hear , yes its fun to do fly byes ..the look on people faces like wtf lol is great .. and every car wants to race you when they hear your car flying down the highway at like "60mph"..that is the only reason i still have mine on smile .. but if i was you i would get custom piping and a put on tunable muffer. and that is good enough...
my 5 cents...

and i even have a silencer my my kazuma and that did jack shit to make it less noisy.

Nope, those things are loud as bitches! Silencers do absolutley nothing to those exhausts...I was going to get one, but bought TSRM after I realized it wasn't worth the trouble thumbsup

Anyone have a link to a web page that did a review on the Kazuma?

I'm interested to know how many decibels it puts out, and also as to how good the gain in HP is.

here is a vidio clip of the kazuma. http://www.wctoyotasport.com/media/kazumamovie1.mpeg

here is a site that has info about it. http://www.wctoyotasport.com/Celica/CelicaEnd31/index.htm

the site says 20hp for the kazuma, and 10hp for the TRD exhaust. this is at the flywheel of chorse

BTW, the pic they have in the site is not a pic of a kazuma exhaust, the pic is of a TRD exhaust

The click here link doesnt work. Additionally i don't like the way the exhaust sounds, it's too high. That's what sets off the cops. If you get a lower sounding exhaust it can be really loud but since it's low you won't perk as many pig heads.

If you want the Kazuma exhaust you're gonna need to set money aside for all the tickets that you're gonna get. If you want something loud go with TSRM. I personaly don't like loud exhaust systems, that's why I went with TUM. It's got the gains for the TSRM, but it's "Greddy" loud & the titanium isn't as bling bling. But you do have a good point about the Kazuma being the least expensive exhaust out there.

Yeah, but you will most likely have to spend a good deal of money for someone to weld it on.

Unless you race at the tracks this exhaust is kind of pointless. You will get a lot of tickets if this is your everyday driver. Just get a TSRM or TRD. Both are great exhausts.

I had the kazuma exhaust and sold it to my buddy and he put it on his celi.the videos you can download are nothing compared to hearing it in real life trust me.When you start the car to warm it up you literally can hear it block or 2 away if its quiet enough.I didnt really have any problems with cops because i was very cautious with it and paid attention. My advice would be against the kazuma go with something like tanabe or trd.It will get annoying after a while having to yell to the passenger and turning the radio up always becuase you cant hear it.Dont buy kazuma for the streets unless you like not hearing..haha
