I'm really tempted to buy the PIAA 1156 turn signal bulbs. I'm just wondering if anybody knows if they are street legal. I live in so cal.

unless they're amber they're not legal...

but on the same note i've been driving around with blue turn signals for about 7 months and no tickets... knock on wood.

i just found the chp site on modification. http://www.chp.ca.gov/html/streetlegal.html ,says that yellow or white are legal. since the piaa bulbs are a bright white when on, wouldn't that make them legal?

California has wierd laws about cars, and they don't get 93+ Octane

Hit up the DOT if you have questions about stuff like that.
It's the most reliable source.

for front turn signals you can have white or amber
for front side markers, if installed, they must be amber
for rear turn signals they must be red or amber

if you have turn signals that wrap around (the celi does not) then they must be amber.

Yep, as long as it emits a white light you're fine.
