im thinking about gettin a new head unit (alpine CDA-9827). any comments on y i should or shouldnt get it would be much appreciated!

Alpine is a really good manufacturer. The higher voltage rating is good for several different applications. If you are looking into doing a full system with subwoofers and amplifiers, that's a good choice. If not, then i would save a few bucks and pick up a different one. Remote Controls = Awesome.

no to knowledgeable about audio equipment. so say i get this head unit and install it, then this summer i get my system, i can still hook up my subs to the head unit correct, to control the bass?
