I just got back from the movies with my girl.. I was standing beside my car and I look down and I see like 4 or 5 long ass scratches running from about the middle of my passenger door to the wheel well.. angry angry angry The thing is they are not deep at all (thank god.) Like someone might have brushed against me. But the scratches aren't in straight lines, which would happen if they did. And of course there is no freaking note or anything. I don't know what the hell happened but I am freaking pissed. Worst thing is I just spent the whole freaking day yesterday washing and cleaning it. So now I gotta get them out, suggestions for getting light scratches/scuffs out

I wouldn't wet sand it without trying some other things first. Get some really good car wax, the 2 stage kind. Try that. If not, then try the mother's clay bar. I've heard good things about it.

Knowing the path and choosing the path are two different things.

I hear you, but damn it we payed good money for our car! And then we worked hard on mods and such making them just how we want. Then keep them clean and well tuned.(most of us anyway. heh heh) We shouldn't have to be scared to take something we love out in public for fear of some jealous ass messing with it. Thank you. *steps off his soap box*

if the scratches are indeed light then scratch X by maguire's is vwery good...after applying that wax it. but if it was keyed i doubt it is that light...you may need to repaint the panel. thumbsdown angry

i feel you man, i got keyed last year and cost me 500+ to get it fixed...that's 500 i didn't have to spend in the first place. angry angry angry angry

There is this wax in an orange bottle, I am not sure what it is called because I used it all. But yeah my car has gotten hit with about 10 car doors and that took out the scratches and the blue and red paint on my door!!! I know how you feel I hate when people do shit to my car and not leave a note or anything especially because my car is white. GRRRR

Oh yeah. I am hoping to have the scratches out my CAI installed. And maybe a Carbon Fiber hood if I can get the money together before the meet. (So many mods.. so little time.. and cash) I just need a good day to wash and wax my car the weather has been so crappy here as of late.
