I have a 2001 GT and I live in Wisconsin. I want to get a CAI this summer but don't know which one to go with. I would like to get Injen but I am leaning more towards AEM because of the bypass valve. The only reason is because of the rain that we get sometimes. I don't drive my car in the winter. What do you think?????

Use the search button. The Bypass valve = dont work. If your afraid of hydrolock due to water...just dont drive through a lake or river. thumbsup

agree with everything he says. hydrolock only happens if ur intake submerges completely in a puddle of water. basically river or lake, or maybe the beach. if roads conditions are cool in ur area, dont even worry. bypass dont work. aem gives more power to low rpms, and injen gives more power to high rpms. do a search, we covered this story up million times

And I agree with the bottom of your post about the power on the rpms.

the 2nd gen aem is different from the 1st gen. i've heard awesome things about the most recent cai from aem. and the thing about the better lower end power isn't true for both of the aem's, i forget the exact numbers.

but . . . everyone on my team that is putting up huge numbers at the track is running an aem. so i'd say get the latest from aem.

ditto. the 2nd gen aem is much better than the 1st gen aem and provides more low end power than then injen cai (but the injen cai produces more high end power i beleive).

it's your choice, but if it were me, i'd go aem 2nd gen thumbsup
