Like what topic said. I got one for my 03 GTS(not installed yet)but everywhere say fits 00-02. Is this mean it won't work on 03's. Is there anyone out there with 03 with this pulley on? I don't want to put it until I'm sure it would give no problem. Thanks.

Anybody out there with pulley on?? C'mon I need help ASAP. Why does everywhere say 00-02 not 00-current? Is is different than 00-02? Any help would really help me out. Just don't want to slap it on and find out the hard way. Thank you.

my previous car (2000 dodge neon) i installed an underdrive pulley.

it is interesting how AEM clouds this by calling it a "tru-power pulley" when it is just an oversized pulley that requires less turning torque and adds less power to the alternator hence less recharge to the battery.

i wish i had never done it to my old car. coming to stop lights my headlights would dim unless i revved the engine. my amp, even with a capacitor, drained the battery excessively 'causing the radio to shut off in mid cd. it always felt like my car was dancing near stalling. air conditioning and fan operations were weak. dashboard lighting was dim. everything related to the electrical and was of course "underdriven."

so, that is my experience with that performance upgrade. however that is also with a different car.

i also would like to hear what other celica gts owners experiences are with the AEM tru-power pulley system...

what percent is it underdriving the celica gts? anyone know?

E

i haven't heard of any one with the AEM pulleys have a problem. 2000+ gts have the same engine, so it should work. I guess those places don't know what they're selling.

well i would think that it would fit, unless the dealer changed the engine set -which they didn't

its the same throughout the years...

the only difference between GT and GTS pulley kits is the belt that comes with it

Celica engine placements have been the same 2000 through 2004
