I got my refurbished Cobra ESD9550 detector for about $68 shipped from Yahoo Auctions. Works perfectly. No tickets at all. smile

Cobra kicks ass...certain ones...well mine can't be detected by radar dectector decteors but it can detect theirs. So basically, it's a radar detector and a radar detector detector detector goodjob

whatever you get, make sure it has vg-2 cloaking technology. this is what CarbonB celica was talkin about. without, you might get a ticket for a having a radar detector, depending on whether or not its illegal in your state.

if you want a really good radar detector, get a "bel", their expensive and they dont ok too great but they r one of the best, they work really really good, i liver up in canada, and all radars are legal here smile , another good radar is a "valentine" its what the cops have, their about the size of a cd deck, which is big, but that is the best out there, they r really expensive though!

where in canada do you live?
i was thinking of buying a radar detector, but i am not sure what the consequences would be if i was caught using it. so instead, to make myself stop thinking about it, i installed an ignited engine start button, thus using up the cig lighter spineyes
btw check your pm!
