you make an incision off the red and green wire from the Cigerette plug and wrap the wire you cut b4 around the other two wire. 1 from neon to green, the other wire from neon to the red. Don't ask me what green or red wire is for. Just test it b4 you tape it down. Connect 1 wire to the green wire then carefully place the other wire onto the red, turn on your parking light and see if the neon light up. if not, then switch the neon wire around. Understand?? thumbsup

Well you need to cut the red wire with the stripe color. Not the SOLID one red color wire ok?. it's the red wire with gray spot on it. So go do that and let me know how it work out for you. aight?

NO Don't CUT in two, just make carve away the plastic that cover the wire, carve about 1/8 of an inch.
about | | << see that two line? carve away that much. that's all you need. Don't cut the red wire into two piece. After you carve the lenght above, take a toothpick and separate the small wires in between the place you carve, insert the wire from the neon in between the red wire and wrap the neon wire all around 1 or 2 round. Tape it with electrical tape and you're done. Before you tape it up, test it first ok? if the neon light up then u're doing right, if it doesn't light up then it's the other red wire with 1 color red wire. So try that. But i think the red wire with spot is the right one. Look at the attached picture.

Ok kool, it doesnt seem that hard. I just have to drop my car off atthe dealership to get some things fixed. Than ill do it. One thing, do i have to fuse the 2 wires from the neon tubing or just the one with the stripe on it. The directions said if i cut it, oinly use one or something. thanks.

Don't do it the Ghetto way!!!!!!!!!!! Just get a "add-a-fuse" and add it the the fuse for the cig lighter. This will make your neons key hot without cutting into any existing systems.

here is a pic off the celica fuse panel, the little black boxes are "add-a-fuses." As you can see they come pre wired with a "butt connecter" so all have to do is crimp in the power wire from the neons or send a power line to a switch.

Well im already halfway done (cigarette way) so i mise well finish it. I cut the tubing around the 2 neon wires so all thats showing is the wires. THan i cut the tubing around the red/green cigarette wires and wrapped the 2 neons around the red one. That didnt works, so i wrapped both of the neon wires around the greenand red this time, but still, nothing. This is aggrivating the hell out of me! Anyone know what to do confused

This is why we don't do it this way. Fix your cig wires and do it the right way, trust me you will be happy you did.

I'm sorry I don't have a link, I bought mine at Pepboys. As far as a install guide, I use the one from this site but cut out all the junk about the firewall and power from the battery. The "add-a-fuse" takes care of that part. Also I used a bolt behind the driver side kick panel to ground (with the proper spade).

some details that may help:

The black thing is a "add-a-fuse," The red fuse is a new 10amp (thats for the neons), under it is the cig fuse that was in the slot now taken by the "add-a-fuse." The red wire coming out of it is preinstalled as well as the blue butt connector.

thats a butt conector, slide the power wire from the neon into it, then smash it tight with a pair of pliers or a crimper.

Save yourself the time and money and return the neons.

Neons don't make you fast. You'll just draw power from your battery and away from the engine.
