I am taking my car to a local body shop to have them do some body work. They are putting on a molly designs body kit, a OEM Carbon Fiber hood, and then a full custom colored paint job. I was wondering how much you all think it would cost.

A friend of mine got a custom paint job on his celi.. he got his center hood done as well as two designs on either side of his car.. He also had his whole body kit molded in.. Cost him 4000 dollars.. and that is at cost. No labor, he is friends with the guy who did the work. Big bucks man.. big bucks.

if you don't have a hook-up to get it done at cost, the entire job will run well over 5K

from what I remember the molly designs kit is a lip kit...should probably run between $700 to $1200 for the paint/install of that, along with the Carbon Fiber Hood install which would probably cost more if you are having them drill for hood pins...then like I said, you are probably looking at at least $3000 to $5000 for the paintwork...hope you have deep pockets...but its gonna look nice...

BTW...what color is the paint...I had an estimate for getting my celica painted royal sapphire pearl like the 98 supras, and they wanted $4,000...if you go with a really custom pearlescent like the blue-silver on the ferrari 360's then you're probably looking at like $5,000 to $7,000 to get that type of super high end paint on your car

molly kits are amazing quality, they fit perfect every time. i'd say only 100 bucks if the shop is honest. woulda taken you about 2 hours to DIY.

I haven't dropped it off yet. I wanted to know how much I was looking at, or atleast close. I wanted to be prepared for the zero's.

oh ok...yeah, its a nice kit you picked out...but the paint and all is gonna be deep...especially because the lexus paint is pearlescent (I think)...your car will look smooth tho
