has anyone with the 2003 modles had trouble removing the slider on the AC controls. i just tried and it doesnt come off when i grab it and pull. very difficult to remove. anyone else had this problem? just afraid i might break it

...it should pull right off without too much trouble. it's snap-on.

got it off, i had to stick some wire behind it and pull. thing was on pretty tight.

Mine doesn't come off when I pull either, I just take everything else off and pull the console off, and it then pops off.

yea just pull of the AC Control console and it should pop off.
