i think i posted some thing like thie before but i just put my rims on and had them balanced and whenever i break 65-70 my steering wheel shakes left and right violently. this probobally has something to do with my rims and i was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. the guy at the tire store says i dont need an alignment after switching rims cause it was done a few months ago. thanks in advance

if they were already balanced, then it's time to get another alignment. also make sure that all the tires have the same air pressure.

My wheel use to shake and sometimes when I come to a stop it pulls hard to the right. But it only does this sometimes and at first I thought it was my alignment and brakes but I took my car to get looked at yesterday.. Got the wheels balanced and rotated and brakes looked at. The guy said there was nothing wrong with my breaks they looked good and all. Well my wheel doesn't shake but coming home last I pulled to a stop and had to hold my wheel to keep from going into the next lane.

i still say that they need to be balanced. I drove two weeks with my alignment really off after I got my coil overs installed (letting the springs settle) and my steering wheel didn't shake when I got on the freeway

you may need two hub centrix rings for the two front wheels.

The huh centrix rings help make your rims perfectly centered on the hub. They eliminate movement and vibration during high speed. They go in between the hub and the rim.

The best thing to do is to ask the place that you bought the rims from. These rings usually come free with Racing Harts and other major brands of rims. Remember, these rings are NOT universal fit. The place that you bought the rims from can order them through the manufacturer. Or you can try these. I did a quick search on Google.

double check to make sure that the tires are mounted on the right side of the car if they are directional. if you tighten the rim down in incriments of all five lug nuts at 20lbs then 40lbs and 60lbs, you will not need to get the center hub for the rim to sit center.

i dont have anything to measure tq in so when i put them on i was just free ballin it, im not quite sure on what they do at tires plus when they balance tires, if that has anything to do with it, but it still did it after they balanced them. im thinking of trying those centrix rings but idk what size im gonna need, theyre 17 inch enkei rs6's and the guy who sold me the car gave them to me with the stock tires on the car (and yes the left tires are on the driver side and the right tires are on the passenger side)

1 question it might sound dumb but if i take my tires and put the front ones on the back(was a suggestion) will that unbalance them?
