SpidermanGT and I were discussing the differences and pros & cons of a wet system vs a direct port system. feel free to add to this discussion. which is most safest? Which is the most efficient? Which is one is better?

after i get a TRD clutch, im going to really focus on getting a nx or nos all import efi wet kit.

I think that it is safe to say that Direct Port applies to all of the above (safest, most efficient, and better) You then know that you do not risk blowing your engine becuase the same amount of n2o is being applied to each cylinder, but you now have an intake manifold with holes all up in it. So if you ever get rid of your nitrous system you need a new manifold.

The only direct port I have found is adjustable 50-75-100. I will never use 100 shot. I like the wet kit that is 35-50-75. I'm sure I would use 75 once in awhile, but that is very risky considering the n2o could be sprayed unevenly.

So I guess the line "if you are going to mod, do it right" applies here. If you want to take the risk go for it. Not me.

I am focusing on Nx. For some reason I have never been a fan of NOS. I don't know why.

NOS has a bad reputation because of reason i dont have to list. NOS really does have a good line of products. I just dont like the idea of having to drill holes in my intake manifold. But you're right, if you're going to do it, do it right with DP. I was just worried about turning the car back to stock one day... I must admit, DP is sexy

DP is the way to go. Even if you do go back to stock, you could still leave the nitrous nozzles in the intake right? I am just too scared to throw a rod or somethin.

Steven, I'm guessing you are going with the 35-50-75 shot kit. Are you ever going to spray 75? How often are you using it and what setting will it be at majority of the time? Are you going with the window swith, or the throttle kind? Does Nx come with both, I haven't checked that? And how many sprays do you think you will get per bottle (10lbs)?

This is an interesting topic...I'm interested in Nitrous too. Let me know how much you end up spending and how it performs. Nitrous is the cheapest way to give our Celicas the boost it needs.

I want to start with a 35 shot and progress to a 50 shot, maybe. I don't have plans to spray 75 shots. I will only use it on drag races, during 2nd-4th gear at wide open throttle only (duh).
I'm not sure if i want a window switch or a WOT switch. Most likely a WOT switch. NX and NOS are similar producs, so i dont really care which brand to get. I have heard you can get 10-12 runs out a 10 lb bottle. I have also heard that a good fuel/n2o pill setting is :
36 nitrous and 22 fuel
It would also be good to get some spark plugs like NGK-7 copper spark plugs.

i talked to PPL with NX and NOS in my area, they said NX is way better and going for the single fogger wet system is the best and safer for our cars...

also im not a fan of NOS, NX for me wave

If the price is right, why not? I got 60,000 miles on it and I don't think I can save the six grand for the turbo. I can however save 600-700 bucks for a 25-50 shot of juice. Group buy at right price and I'm in smile My motor will have 80,000 miles on it by the time I can save for the turbo frown frown frown It won't be worth it by then. It'll just die at 100-120,000 miles. sob sob

Because the Blitz super charger, for GTS may I add, is 5 grand+ install and only delivers 33hp. FUCK THAT. It you want immediate power for your money, then get Nitrous. Personally, I'd rather have a blower myself, but I could spend 1 grand and get SOO SOO MUCH more power.

However, turbos and superchargers for GT celicas are not that difficult to install. Much easier than a GTS. Email placeslike GReddy and HKS about turboing your GT. If you contact them about a GTS and get a positive response, please e-mail me and let me know.

Finally, if done properly ($$$) GT (perhaps GTS) should be able to handle both Nitrous and a Turbo. This usually requires more expensive, more durible parts, though. It's all about The Bengies.

We cannot get dry due to not having a return fuel line. Plus, wet is better than dry, plain and simple. I am waiting for a supercharger for the GT. I trust it more than turbo, and hopefully it will be cheaper. Plus since it is so far away, I will have time to save some money and be one of the fisrt GT's with it when it comes out.<---- Got this Idea from FXMAN thumbsup
