Yes. It would cost you the same or less to just trade in your car for a manual.

i guess it would be worth it if its sentimental, but whilst trading you could upgrade to a gts thumbsup

An auto Celica is fine for normal driving unless into real driving. The conversion is pointless. You want a sports car get a manual even if you can't drive one at the time. Trade it in for a manual. I will always opt for a manual regardless of car. Crack a beer, twist a joint, drive in traffic, or snow covered streets. It doesn't matter. A manual is all you need to know and your best friend. Be one with your car.

DEPENDS.

if you have a stock auto then yes it would be impractical to convert to a manual..because it would be cheaper to just buy a manual.

HOWEVER, some auto users have invested a LOT of $$ into their cars and if they decide they want a manual later on..it doesnt make sense to trade it in and just buy a manual (all the custom work will be lost..along with their time & effort). for these people, it's better to do the conversion thumbsup

That about sums it up. To me, manual is more fun!

something similar to tiptronic? it would be slower than a manual. i had seen something probably a year ago that supposedly did this. it was a universal kit though (not celica-specific), so how good the quality is/was i do not know.
