Is there any way to disable the "auto-lights"? Like, I want to be driving down the road at night and be able to turn all of my lights off.

Disable Day Time Running Lights (DRL)

This is a really easy mod to do. All you have to do is remove your shift boot, and ashtray, etc. Get the the fuse box, and unplug the harness that is on the lower right side of this picture. Once you have it unplugged, you will want to cut wire #17. This wire is Yellowish with a green stripe. You will want to cut it about a inch or two away from the harness connector, so you can reattach it if you sell the car, etc. Once you cut the wire, tape both ends off with electrical tape, and put everything back together.

I just got a better idea. What I need, is a blackout switch. That when I hit it, all the lights on my car go out. Headlights, tails, brakelights, everything. Can it be done?

yes what you would need to do is have a toggle switch set up with a relay for each item you wish to disable. if you dont get this i get can a diagram.

you see what I'm trying to do ... what you want to do is to interrupt the power going to all your lights, so since each lights is located on a differnt fuse you have to interruput them all individually. so for this to happen you must use a normally closed mechanical relay (must be normally closed for safety reasons ... becuase if this type of relay was to fail it would fail in the closed position so your lights would still work.) for each lights. take all these to a common toggle switch and then all you have to do is to flip one switch and all of your lights will be disabled.

relay use something like this ... mechanical NOT solid state

for the switch use any kind of toggle switch found at a local auto store.
