remember that aftermarket hid's are illegal. you most probably will not be pulled over--but if you have an ass cop he can write you up for it.

if you want a brighter light, but legal...look into getting MTECHs. not as bright as hid, but brighter than the halogen bulb your used to using.

http://intensepower.com/hidlights.html

$400 for 6000k

$450 for 8000k

that's pretty much the average prices for these kits. you can find them cheaper, just look around.

Don't use Misterjung they have terrible service!! my friend bought an adaptor for his ballast he bought from them and it still hasn't come and their customer service is terrible!! The kits aren't such high quality either, Well the bulbs anyways. thumbsdown

I had the 8000k kit from intense and they were extremely bright so much I would have people daily flash me the other way thinking I had my hi beams on. They have a purplish tint to them. Intense sells them through hidstore.com now. Good Luck!!

Check out this thread and see what Tony has to say about hid's

https://celicahobby.com/ubbthrea...rt=1#Post253378

hes right and I agree thumbsup and I am going to replace the stock projectors later on.. if you just stick in hid's without modifying the stock projector you are going to cause mad glare to other drives thumbsdown

sometimes refered to as "UFO's"
little circles right above the cutoff of the projectors, good for halogen but thumbsdown for hid's

when hid's were still coming on (3years ago) i spent $700 on a pair from hids4less.com (now dead due to putting in hid's in a not hid housing is illegal tongue)

I thought putting in 6000k in my stock housing will give me the nice purple look but not really, and halogens were even better light output. Now that 6000k is in my closet for now. I only noticed the "UFO's" when i put in the hid's and if i can find the pictures I'll post it up.
