http://www.caranddriver.com/article.asp?section_id=39&article_id=3270Just surfing some car reviews while waiting for the dealer to call me about my busted GTS, and I found this. 500 HP Celica...sounds interesting. It's got a GT4 powertrain and a 2000 GTS body. Now, obviously 500HP would smoke off our tires, but if we added a 22 PSI turbocharger to a stock Gt or GTS, do you think we could see numbers as high as 300HP or maybe 350HP? That would be nice.

Yea yea, This has been posted numerous times. Thats Rod Millens Ultimate Toyota. Rumors have gone around about them actually making a car like this, but I don't think they will.

Well, seeing as it is a $500,000 prototype, I don't think I'll be able to have mine upgraded like that.
but a 22 psi turbocharger would be nice.
MAKE ONE TRD!

Just one question: What do you call celica on that car? BTW I think 22 psi can easyly do 300 Hp.

Because I get ALOT of email about it Ultimate Celica TRD did this concept vehicle. Into a new-generation Celica it inserted the 2.0-liter, four-cylinder 3SG engine and drivetrain from the 1988-93 Celica All Trac, added a Garret turbocharger derived from the IMSA GTP Toyota racecars, added an Apex fuel management system and ended up with a powertrain that produces 500 horsepower and 340 pound-feet of torque. Calty, Toyota's American design studio, did the Champ car-inspired body panels (and nose and rear wing) that widen the car by 3.8 inches in front and by 3.2 inches in the rear. Those panels help cover 19-inch BBS magnesium racing wheels covered by 245/35 Michelin Pilot performance tires. To stop this monster, 12.3 x 1.26 ventilated front discs with four-piston calipers and 12.3 x .63 ventilated rear discs with two-piston calipers are used. The front suspension features Toyota Superstruts with Bilstein shock cartridges while the rear is an independent dual-link setup with Bilstein struts. Completing the package are a racing fuel call; high-temperature, stainless steel Inconel exhaust; Recaro sport seats with four-point racing harnesses; and an integrated roll cage from Rod Millen Motorsports. ... BTW, here are some of my photos from August of last year... https://celicahobby.com/gal3/20020810...
