ok, so i bought a 2000 GT and the person before me put what looks like a TRD wing on the back. any time i raise the trunk, it just falls back down.

Does anyone else have this problem? I saw some hydraulic arm things at pep boys but i wasnt sure what to get.

thanks for any info you got.

Hmmm.
When I got my authentic wing, they came with replacements. They should have been installed with the wing.

I didn't put mine on, and I still have the factory ones. The trunk stays up, it just doesn't raise up by itself. I like it better that way.

thanks for the help. I called the dealer today and they quoted me $143 for each "stay assembly".
I'm going to call back and try to get them to flip the bill since i bought it "certified" or whatever. Earlier this year they bought me a new cat conv. so i thought i would give it a try.

incase that falls through, anyone have some they didnt use from their kit? PM me

yeah, definitely get this covered under warranty. Certified means they were supposed to have checked out the car top to bottom rice

i called toyota and complained that its a "safety issue" so they said i should bring it in to get it looked at.

I'll be impressed if toyota forks out 300$ for it-

I have the same problem, and the dealer replace a new set for me, it didn't work, they said my wing(Kaminari Carbon Fiber) was too heavy, the shock which they replaced was the strongest shock. But when I check the part No. it's just the same as old one confused.Anyone have the part No. for the strongest shock(TRD AC package)?
