I have a stock exhaust and I just diconnected the mufflers at the end so its just running out of the cat. It sounds so insane, sounds like a diesel truck, but pops when I shift gears (like a pistol shot) . It might be too loud so I'm thinking about reconnecting it and of course the noise level is hella illegal. So Does anyone know what kind of gains I get, I was thinking it would be the best since it has so little resistance. express your thoughts about this, I'm interested

Is there a place closer to the header that you can disconnect it from without cutting the piping?

I would think that you would lose your low end completely...but definately gain some on high end... Not worth it in my opinion.

there is a dyno of a GTS with an injen cai and unbolted exhaust on another site - 176 whp and basicly no low end loss. Looks pretty good to me!
