ah this is crazy..i originally wanted a trd supercharger..BUT GUESS WHAT..DERrrr TRD makes a supercharger kit for the matrix and corolla..BUT NO CELICA>.what a joke.n e wayz.time for a Turbo. nitrous alone wouldnt be as affective without it. n e wayz..ON TO MY POINT. does anyone on this site have a Turbo installed?..what brand?how much...and how many hours installation did it take your guy to toss that bitch in. Please PM me..or post up...thanx guyssss...
I just bought a TRD S/C yesterday, the Turbo isnt practical for me I like the gains w/ the Turbo but as a everyday driver the TRD S/C was the way to go. I drive 60+ a day work and back. And yes I made glass Cowel for the hood so it'll fit. I would go w/ the S/C if your just looking for some extra umph. I dont know why everyone says that the Turbo will cost less in the long run I picked up the S/C from Rinke Toyota for 2300 and the install is gonna be 400+/- depending on 3 hours or so. Thats 2700 +/- a few bills and the lowest kit Ive come across is C2's at 3200 and there still about 600+ worth of tuning involved. I have the templet of the cowel if you are really serious about the S/C it only cost about 100 to make and then theres about another 75 or so in the painting.
I have our st3 kit on my car. It gives 265 Europen WHP which is ~310 American BHP at 0,9 bar ~ 14psi ( kit can support ~20 psi, but too much power to drive). We sell st1 bolt on kits for 3200$. Install takes 2-3 days for normal mechanics. Gives 180-200whp where you set boost at depending on what you think your engine can handle. We suggest not to go over 190whp on a stock engine.
