Sup... I'm planning to install my aftermarket muffler but there's the option of welding it to an aftermarket tube or welding it to your stock tube. Which is better? I just want to know which is better because I want to regret it.

what muffler are you thinking of getting? if its the TRD, or TSRM you dont need to do any welding, its just attaching it to a cuple rubber hangers, and 2 spring bolts

was....5speed with i/h/e
15.41 @ 89.30mph 2.282 60'

is....04 srt4 stock

You don't have to weld for the TRD exhaust? If i could do that myself that would be sweet.

TRD and TSRM exhaust are replacements so they are direct bolt ons i think 4 screws in total thumbsup
if you just have a muffler tip/canister then its your choice form what i heared you dont really get much if any with just a muffler tip unless you go with a full custom straight piping(no cat no resonator) ala kazuma grin

Well... it's not a bolt on I know that. I think it's a 5zigen muffler exhaust. The question is.. use the stock tube or buy their straight aftermarket tube to weld it on?..

If you are just getting the exhaust tip then you will only be getting the sound. There will no gains. It will require welding to mount this. If you choose to use bigger piping and a tip you will recieve some gains but nothing like an actual axleback replacement that TSRM, trd, and rod millen sell. All in all it would I highly recommend you save up your cash and buy and axle back that you can install yourself and has a lot more gains.
