1.Is this possible?

I installed my Kazuma today. Finally. I've had it for a while but just didn't get around to installing. I love it and at the same time, I miss the TSRM. I got pulled over by a cop, didn't get a ticket though. Anyway,

2.Do they make a silencer for the Kazuma and if so where can I get it? Does it make it significantly quieter?

Nah, check this dawg, the cops don't bother me. I'm not going to get a ticket either way. And if I do get a ticket because one rare cop may want to be an asshole, it's more than likely that it will be dropped in court. So that's not a problem.

I really like the exhaust. I was out driving for a hot minute after I had it installed. I really like how it sounds at high rpms especially. I just want to know if it could be tamed a little bit. I know the whole point of the exhaust it to be loud, that's why I bought it.

BTW, I sold my TSRM to Cycocelica.

Anyway, can you answer any of my questions?

well not really...dont know much about the kazuma...because its illegal...but who cares thumbsup

i would think that if they did make a silencer, it couldn't do to much for the exhaust for it is pretty dang loud...

also about the piping...it probally wont work...they are totally different companies and their pipes are probally different sizes...

but take my word for it...anyone on this forum will know more than me... spineyes

^^^Thanks for your input man. Actually I don't believe it's possible to have the TSRM with the Kazuma piping but wtf, I thought I'd ask anyway. thumbsup

Yeah even if they did make a silencer for it, it really wouldn't quiet it that much.

I get what you mean though about wanting to tame it a little, but I just don't think that there is really anything that will do what you want it to do, sorry frown

You can get a silencer for it, but it doesn't really make a difference at all.

If you want someone to tell you what it's like personally, private message Ravadude. He had the Kazuma with a silencer, but sold it.

1. of course its possible why wouldnt it be you just cut off the trd tip and weld on the tsrm tip and if it is diffrent size piping any good muffler shop can make an adapter for it its like me cutting my tsrm tip and putting it on a custom straight piping duh!! spineyes

2. as mentioned someone here had a silencer on it but said it didnt make any diffrence and it was still hella loud thumbsup

ive got the kazuma, and i have a silencer for it. people told me that the silencer wouldnt do anything, but IMO it made a difference especially on the freeway.

and no, the point of kazuma isnt to be loud...the point is to get the most HP

an ordinary exhasut(highest ones trd or tsrm) can give between 10-15hp and from what i remember trd kazuma gains are about 20-25hp thumbsup

^^^Those hp gains, are they accurate? I had the TSRM before and I didn't feel a 10-15 hp gain. I have the Kazuma now and I definitely don't feel a 25 hp gain. With both exhausts there are noticeable gains, just not that much. BTW, were you suggesting those gains to be whp?

the Kazuma has a section of straight piping where the stock resonator was - put a small glasspack or resonator there to quiet it down some. You could put flanges on each end and make it removeable to put a straight pipe in its place when you want max power.

Yeah i was going for max horsepower when i got kazuma...120db didn't really click in my head as "oh !@#$ thats loud. only been pulled over for it once and i kinda asked for it since i put it up to about 7 grand in a tunnel and it kinda echoed to the cop i just passed. oops didn't think he could hear it from like a quarter mile down the road or at least didn't think he would know it was me. heh, he just pulled me over and asked me if i raced it at tracks or anything and was real nice and said "ok, have a nice day and drive safe"

I'm guessing that if I did put a resonator on, it would decrease Performance. Am I right? Would Performance be decreased considerably?

BTW, what's a glasspack?

Thanks for your input. And btw, does anyone know how much any of that would cost?

P.S. My girl was pulled over today. She came home fuming mad and was like, "I'm never driving that stupid car with that stupid exhaust again." grin

Looking forward to responses. thumbsup

Yes, it would decrease Performance, although I don't know if it would considerably. And a glasspack is a certain type/brand of resonator.

the best exhausts out there gives you about 4.5 to 8 wheel hp. the kazuma gives about 9 to 14 hp.i have both a jdm pro 1 with 2.5 inch piping(not the knock offs)it gave me more than the standard trd,but when i changed to the kazuma,i was like what the fuc.kk!it outperformed the pro1 the exhaust is real good, the kazuma with a silencer still has better gains than a standard trd!

the silencer works, but if you really want it quiet, take the silencer to a machine shop and have them weld on a nother flange(so that it has two,one behind the other)the space between the flanges should be as long as possible, but not too long cause there is a slight curve at the end of the kazuma.
the space between the flanges, can be wrapped with a layer of fiber glass material(the one you pack into speaker boxes) this obsrbing material, along with the extra flage would reduce the noise level significantly and you would have as much gain still as most regular exhaust on the market.
KAZUMA is the king of exhausts for the 7th gen celica! thumbsup

Yo, thanks hybrid. I really love the Kazuma man. But it's so loud that I have to shout when I'm talking to others in my car or put the radio real loud to hear the music grin

Anyway, I don't want another exhaust, I just need to tame this beast a little. I will do exactly what you said in order to reduce the noise, though I don't exaclty understand everything you stipulated. I'll take my car to the muffler shop and suggest what you said and see if they can do it. BTW, how much do you think that will cost?

Also, where can I get a silencer from?

Thanks a lot man. thumbsup

thats machine shop,not muffler shop.
the flange is stainless steel and it has to be welded properly.tig or the least mig welded.
muffler shops dont usually do that kind of welding.

if its not welded properly,it will leave burrs, and it will cause air noises and i hate to hear an exhaust with all that buzzing noises.

honestly, I don't see the point of getting an exhaust system with the most hp gain, and then restricting the Performance of it by adding a sliencer... must as well just get a regular CAT back system!

I have the TSRM on my GTS with a straight pipe replacing the stock CAT and silencer and I love it! Not too loud but it sounds really deep. But as soon as you put the sliencer that came with the TSRM it sound's almost stock!!! wink

Yeah the Kazuma kinda back fires at times but hey...Just like with the sound you get used to it. I just keep my daily driving down at about 3,000 rpm in the city and so far no problems with the fuzz
