I got intrigued so I did some detective work and found...

QuestionWhat is Toyo guard?
AnswerToyo guard is, in my opinion, nothing but a way for the Southeast distributor to rip off new car buyers for an extra $600.
The process adds :
(1) undercoating One supposes the engineers at Toyota don't have enough smarts to properly treat metal to avoid corrosion... Incidentally, if a car treated with Toyo guard should have rust in future years Toyota may well refuse to honor the warranty since the process may well hold in moisture! That from Toyota!
(2) a treatment is applied to the leather interior to "preserve". Likewise a silicone sealant is applied to the body paint.
Finally (3) the id number is engraved in each glass surface to protect from anyone removing the windshield and selling it on the black market...
I would feel better if they (the Distributor) would just add an item "Standard rip-off charge $600.00" to the sticker.
If you live in the Southeast and want to avoid this junk and potential damage to your car, then you must go out of the area to buy your car. The dealers who receive their cars from the Southeast distributor are forced to include Toyo guard. "
?? that is perhaps but no mention of a bottle =P
