(meaning you can press the "engine start" button without engaging clutch) and i mean those ones that you can start ur motor w/ a remote control...not the inside button cuz..hehe wats the point. i only see the ones that are for automatic...just wondering if these even exist since we do hafta engage clutch to start the engine. any info will be appreciated.

yes, it can be done in a manual but they can cause problems. i know someone who accidentally left his car in gear and he smashed his front bumper...and it was a show car. so, if you do it be careful and don't forget.

Any alarm/remote start can be used. You just have to ground the clutch switch while starting. This is done at your own risk however. You can also set it up so that it will only start if your e brake is up. Just did mine last week. The only problem that can occur is what Jaimejames said...

^^^all the post are correct..i will add one lil thing to it..if you decide to get it, after they install it for you they also install a switch that will disable the auto-start, incase you give ur key to someone else..and you can just flip the switch if you think you might start it..so yeah..i had it on my last car..pretty cool until my bro left it in gear and when i start it it ram into the chicken statue we have in front of our house, left quite a mark.. grin

I have a 5 speed GT with remote start. The system I have is made by CompuStar. You can check them out at www.compustar.org. [compustar.org.] The system I have is a combination of alarm and remote start. There is no need to worry about starting the car while it's in gear becauuse there when you want to remote start it, before you leave the car, you have to set what is called reservation mode. In my car what I do when I park is put it in neutral then pull up the ebrake. The doors then unlock and you hear a tick. When you hear that tick, you take your key out, close the door and you're good to go. If you don't set reservation mode, it just won't remote start. So there is never a chance of you remote starting in gear and hurting someone or fuckin up your car.
