i have a magnaflow exauhst at the moment. sounds real nice. i just got a winga west body kit installed and i made the bodyshop do another exauhst cutout. i have never seen a celcia w/ duals, so well just for the look i thought i would go for it. then i ran into the problem of finding a muffler that would work for the celica that had two exits and one entry so that i wouldnt lose too much power using two mufflers. i went to my local muffler shop and he recommended this magnaflow muffler

by the way, the entrance is the top right and exits are bottom left and right. it would go right before the rear axle and tubes custom bent to fit through the axle to the two cutouts in the bodykit

it'll work...how much is the muffler shop gonna charge you to make it fit? For $700 + shipping from Japan you can get Varis' exhaust that is designed to fit the Celica (it's a dual exhaust)

IMO, if the car came with a single exhaust, you should just leave it like that.

so the consensus is duals look funky.. well that might be true, before i got into imports i was into american muscle and w/ my old v-8 duals sounded sweet. well im going to go w/ that muffler unless anyone has a better idea, by the way i am only paying 90 bucks for the muffler but like 100 on custom work for the installation. so two hundered plus probably 30 dollar tips are gonna run a total of like 250. not bad i think. and well ill post pics of how it looks after i get my car painted...or well i guess ill post pics of the body kit this weekend.. im not going to do the muffler until this weekend, so if anyone has an idea let me know. thumbsup

If your bodycut is already cut for duals than it would look silly to have a single and an empty hole. That is the muffler I would use for duals, you probably won't lose any power that way - two mufflers would probably lose power on a 1.8l car

i never knew that people were insanely against dual exauhst. is this a import tip as a standard.. because i have said before i was only into american cars before my celica, and now since i am getting into the import scene this is definitly the first thing to surprise me. even if i lose a little power with the duals using 1 muffler i love the look. and even seeing it on my celica i dont regret doing it. it looks cool to me. but i definitly respect the whole idea of "if it came with one leave it with one" but then agian why does that only apply to the muffler? ive heard of many people changing gt trannies, engine swaps, as well as all kinds of other mods that in essence "change" the look of the celica. but in the end the consensus is that duals are gay.. but the point of this thread was to find a muffler that wouldnt give me a hp loss, not "do you think duals look cool" rice
