Do you need to jark the car up when you change oil? Because 2 months ago, I went to dealer to change my oil, and then I dound out my under car neon tube was broken. I thought if they jark up my car, they might broke the tube, because the tube is very low.

yeah, you have to jack the car to get to the plug. normaly the dealer would use one of those lifts where you drive the car over it & it lifts the car underneath the wheels.

ditto.

usually a dealer will use a lift because it's much easier to see what you are doing...but if not then you would have to use a lift...especially seeing how low a celica lies to the ground (it's impossible to get under there without your car being raised unless you are seriously small & skinny) thumbsup

why doesnt the dealer have one of those pits that you drive your car over and they go down inside of it. thats how it is around where i live. and why dont you get change the oil at your house just go out and buy some ramps that all i do and you should be able to fit under your car then

well i saw my neighbor change his sisters oil the other day and he drove the car onto those little ramps...all it did was raise the front of the car higher...no jacking needed...plus it is a little safer with those ramps than it is whit the jacks, i would know, i have had issues with the jacks and jack stands grin

I was not sure is the light working before I went to dealer(because I didnt turn it on everyday), but the day after I went to dealer, my tube was broken. yesterday I went to dealer to check my car (my engine oil was leaking), then my girl friend said that they might broke my neon when she saw a car was lift up without tire. Then I left my car there for 5 hours, and they called me, they said nothing wrong with my car, I doupt they didnt really check it. That's good my neon didnt brake this time, or they might denil they did.

Make wooden ramps. They work great, especially for all you guys with slammed rides, and take less time then setting up jacks. Plus they are safe.

I had to jack mine up to do it, I couldn't get onto my ramps without the front bumper scraping. There might be lower-profile ramps out there or something though.
