Remove the two brass bushings on the very front of the shifter with a pair of pliars (circled in yellow), and remove the four bolts circled in red they are 12mm

Remove the cotter pin on the bottom of the shifter by pulling it off, this one is tricky, the 4 times I've done SS installs, I've never found a sure way to do it, so be creative

after removing the shifter housing from the car, remove the roll pin in the back of the shifter with a screwdriver (my flat head is the perfect size, you may need to find something else to knock it out with)

remove the speed clip on the side of the shifter with a small screw driver (Again, mine is small enough, just force it under there and pry it up. The TWM kit comes with a new one of these clips so if you bought it retail, no need to be careful)

With both the roll pin and speed clip removed, the top of the shifter housing will come off, as well as the retainer with black gasket in it (both in blue). Remove the shifter spring (green), shift rod, and four rubber base bushings (red)

Finally, replace the shorter shift rod into the housing, replace the top piece with black gasket, replace the roll pin, replace the shifter spring and new speed clip (push it on all the way by using a 12mm socket, a nice easy tip)

finally, reinstall everything the way you undid it.
for the new base bushings, TWM gives you 8 aluminum ones, install 4 of them under the shifter bevel side up, 4 on top bevel side down, then use the supplied 13mm bolts and washers to secure the shifter down into place. Replace the linkages and cotter pins, brass retainers, etc.

I love the shifter, it was tight at first, and it loosened up a little bit. Throw is greatly reduced, and it is SUPER short. I love this shifter, it was hard getting it in (make sure you use the WASHERS!) but after I did get it in, it made my car feel like new again. Here is a side by side pic.

You can buy it online many places, I live in MD and it was a gift so price was not really an issue, so it was $140 shipped from ptuning.com and it got to my door in 24 hours free shipping.
You might find it cheaper elsewhere, but that was the best I could do in the time frame
