Ok, I got my new rims a few weeks ago, and havn't gotten an alignment yet, but I plan on doing it today. Anyways, since I have upgraded with the new wheels, I noticed that I tend to bottom out a lot, especially on the highway at high rates of speed when I hit a little dip. This never used to happen to me. I looked under the car, and the metal bar in between both of the underbody plastics is the one doing all of the scraping.
I even removed the plastics to make sure that it was the metal bar, and it is. I'm not sure what the metal bar is called, but I believe that it could be the tranny mount, or it could just be the bar that is hooked up to the towing hook.
Anyways, the problem is that the car dips down to the ground too much when traveling at high rates of speed, and even sometimes when going slower, and the car has the factory kit on it, along with the factory springs, I didn't have it lowered.
Should an alignment fix the problem, or should I just wait another week, and buy some new lowering springs, and then have them installed when I get the alignment?
Are the springs the culprit, or is it another part of the suspension?

im clueless...i think it is another part of you suspension that is causing the problem, not your springs...is it bottoming out in the front or in the back of the car?? im guessing the front, right...
i wouldn't get an alignment or a drop until you find out what it is
I was thinking that perhaps my springs are shot, and if it is my springs, then I was just gonna lower it. If not, then I'll just stick with the stock springs and get an alignment.
