Okay..noone..and I mean NOONE around here knows how to solder LEDs..except this one guy. And he wants to charge me 100 dollars to do it. WTF! Is it just me or is that a little too much?
Also..
Ever since I installed my indiglo gauges, my A/C control lights and shifter lights don't come on, and the cigarette lighter doesn't work! I took it back to the guy and he messed with it and said it was fixed, but the only thing he fixed was the cigarette lighter. Help!! I'm stuck in hicksville and noone knows how to work on my car cry cry

That's the beauty of the ability. Especially if he's the only one that knows how. I'd say practice and do it yourself, if you don't want to pay that is. Otherwise, since he's the guy that knows his shit in his area, you're kinda at his mercy. $100 doesn't really sound that bad if he knows what he's doing. There are a lot of LED's in the cluster.

there are a few people online that will do it cheap or free on this board if you just ship it to them. when my gauges were installed my cig lighter didnt work as well. i bought my car with the gauges though. i took it back and said the cig lighter didnt work and when i got it the lighter works but not the gauges. i ripped everything apart i saw the wires were dissconnected to the gauges so when i get a chance i will re wire them.

as for what is soldering LEDs they are the little lights in your gauges, ac controls, radio etc. you can change the LEDs to a diff color to make your gauges blue instead of orange per say. a number of colors are optional

As much as I don't like you, I feel your pain.

You need to get a tapping clip, and tap the two white wires that come out of the cig lighter together. It will fix your interior lighting problem, and only cost you $3 for the clips

Yes it was, because there is a list of things you've said to me I don't appreciate.

However, the no interior lighting thing was a PITA for me for well over a year, and another member here figured it out, thought I'd pass along the word.

Here is my install guide...
http://complabs.nevada.edu/~yoos3/led_stuff/install

It's not too hard.. it's not like rocket scientist stuff..
BUT you gotta think, it's pretty tidious job and working with static senstive component... so there is a chance to mess it up..

Just think.. it's $100, but if that person messed it up... that's gona be like few hundred dollar to replace it...
I can't remember someone said it was $1300 at the dealer...

But I'm pretty sure.. you can find someone else to do it for cheaper...

I've charged $100 to do the complete gauge cluster... which I actually goto their house and do it..
I live in Las Vegas.. and went to LA area to do it... ^^
including few other people... smile
