i notice that when im shifting quickly, i often miss third from second.
i was just wondering will a short shifter help with accuracy of gear changes or will it just make changing gears quicker?
thanx

From what I've heard it will help with both accuracy and shorten the throw distance (quicker gear shift)

your missing because your probably pushing over when you shift, going into 3rd which makes you hit 5th ... just push straight up the shifter will go into 3rd naturally

pushing straight up works fine for normal driving,
but when im trying to quickly shift from 2nd to 3rd 50% of the time i hit that gate inside the shifter

A short shift will help slighty as it will make shifting more notchy, you'll be able to feel going into gear more.

But I would just practice. Practice with the car off just going through the motions.

yeah shortshifter helps accuracy cause you got less room to mess up and move around in.
