The interior of the '00 - '02 is grey, the '03 - '04 is black. The tails are different on the '03 - '04 along with the front bumber of the '03 - '04. Other small difference between the first models and last ones are an LED change of color.

03 does have DBW, i would vote interior wise 03+ because all orange LED's and dark interior, but otherwise the exterior is pretty much identical throughout the years, but i would say 2003 celicas but im a little bias wave

khmer215: DBW = Drive by wire. This means there is an electronic signal sent when you push the gas pedel, rather than a physical throttle cable from the pedal to the throttle body.

jyboygenius: All cars have a rev limiter, '00 - '04. But the '02 has a lower rev limiter, that makes it hard to land lift for the GTS. I believe the rev limiter for the '02 is 7800rpm.

XplodCelica0708: Same as above.

i like how the 03+ fixed some of the quirks on the older ones like the belt tensionor, lift bolts, i also beleive they fixed the gear box too, to make the throws easier. the new action package is not my style, i do not like it all, except maybe the spoiler.

I thought the only year that had the faulty gearbox was the '00? Its shift gates were too close, everyone was mis-shifting and messing up their engine.

I agree about the new action package, its nice they have a larger scoop...but I can think of better aftermarket scoops to get.

cool thanks for the info.. no freaking wonder when i step on the gas it take a split second to get some kind of throttle response. i dont really notice it, unless i start out going like 30 so, then pressing 3/4 on the pedal. its always good to find out stuff you dont know =)
