okai know i wasnt the only person with this problem on the forum so i thought i would do a fast little write up so people could fix it themselves. what happens is the ac drain off tube gets clogged up. this can happen from parking under trees and such. you ac sweats when its on, think of a soda can sitting out in the sun when its cold. if this tube is blocked the water overflows and dripps down on to your carpet on the passenger side, or in my case on my girlfriends feet. check to make sure it doesnt smell like maple syrup and is water cause if not, thats your heater core and this how to isnt for you... this only takes 5 min to fix but if your not covered by warrenty, toyota will charge you about $42.50. fuck that, free is way better. the hardest part is locating the drain tube.
first, if you not using a lift, jack your car up on the pass side. your going to want come from behing the wheel and up towards the engine. the tube is before the engine plastics, so they do not need to be removed. the tube is black and made of rubber. when you find it, you can give it a squeeze to see if anything falls out, if not you will need to use an air compressor and shoot air up into the tube to break everything apart so it falls out. you can use something like a coat hanger but it doesnt work as good, and you can poke a hole in the tube. i used air. i dont have an air compressor, but i do have one of those little portable battery charges with the air thingy to fill your tires up, so i used that. im sure you can go to the local gas station if you need to and use there air. air is safe to use, thats what toyota will use. after i shot the air up there a bunch of water poured out so that how i saw it got un blocked so it should work the same for you. after that i would just sit there with the air on and see if it starts to drip on from there or still in your car, if its still coming out from inside the car you may need to try again. good luck.
