sup guys- Earlier there was a posting all about the supposed 8th gen celica that was featured in an article. On that post there was a yellow celica and I was wondering if anyone was skilled enough to take that image and photochop a vielside body kit on to it with some sweet rims of their choice? Just to see what that would look like
Ask yourself one question. Is the juice worth the squeeze?
.. you guys are aware that in the US, the celica will be discontinued and replaced with the Scion Tc? (*cough Scion Toyota Celica*)
No it isnt, its just the timeing is all. vsgts (billy's) dad is head of the atlantic toyota part...he goes to meetings about toyota vehicles and what plans are. So far there are no plans for the celica...the MR2 Spyder is going to be discontinued...but the TC is not the replacement for the celica.

lol whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat what's atlantic toyota part lol??
my dad owns a toyo dealer and is some position (use to be president, but resigned) of TDA (Toyota Dealers Association for teh NY region... anyway, yea, so he finds this stuff out...next big meeting is actually coming up in NY in july...just saw the invitation today
Scion is not replacing Celica and there is no word as to where the celica will be headed
i was think that if this car will ever come that the style of body kits for it will also change...so that chop is a little unaccurate...but looks nice...
Let's replace a car with go kart handling and a high revving engine with a car with a GLASS roof, high center of gravity, poor handling and a 6000 rpm redline.
Give me a break.
The tC is the answer to a question no one asked:
"How to make a 16-23 year old give us $17K and buy "customizing" parts at 200% mark up"
To have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation To know even one life has breathed easier This is to have succeeded.

Thats what I meant, he as the head of the ny region and went to meetings.
personally i think the new celica should be able to compete and go beyond the sti's or the evo's , that would be sweet
All Toyota would have to do is slap a Turbo and intercooler on it put some better rods and pistons and other things necesary for the Turbo (i.e. Turbo timer), maybe re-enfore the chasis for the new power and keep the price down somewhat. With the Celica being so light it would then spank Evos and STis.
Edit: Toyota must have a LSD with it too, then not many tuner cars would pose a threat. Toyota could also do a supercharger set up.
