Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior which is the more powerful capacitor?

hi im buying a new powerful sub system for my celica , but i dont know anything about these capacitators which protects my car battery. some range from 1, 1.0. , 3 ,3.0 which one of these are the most powerful? is 3 farad and 3.0 farad the same or is 3.0 less then 1 farad? im confused .please help me out my friends.im looking for the highest one out these numbers.

3 farad can hold more juice than 1 farad ... you usually don't need to go over 1 unless your using some major juice

whoops, my bad on the weird spelling.

usually, a 1 farad capacitor can handle up to 1000 watts.. and so the 3.0 (also 3) farad should be able to handle 3000 watts..
i have a 3.5 farad capacitor which should be able to handle 3500 watts...which is more than enough.
the larger the number, the more battery power it can hold and give to the amps.
you can check out crutchfield.com and read the info they have on them also.
