You're going to tear your clutch up and it definitely won't do any good for your engine, let alone the control you have over your car since your tires would spin every shift.

no it won't land you in lift, you'll just land in the same place as normal once you've let your clutch out...

but you could hold your clutch at grabbing point & accelerate then let out your clutch once at the right revs. this would absolutely destroy your clutch though & would prove no faster thumbsdown

you'll just have to shift higher (a new computer may be needed if you're hitting ya limiter) good luck thumbsup

i do power shifting, and you know wat happends wen you do that, toyota gives you a brand new trani, yup fucked up mine doing that shit and now i need a new trani. didnt help my times ether, i have a 2000 GTS and my best time so far is 15.2, it feels tite wen you do it but really bad for ur trani, feels like ur hittin nos every time you shift, and it sounds nice but yeah its bad so dont try it, also you have more chances of miss shifting wen you do that, sence the rpm will rev more then redline it will be a lot harder to get the shift into gear right, at least thats wat happends to me

man i would just work up through the gears. 1st to 2nd at 5500rpm, 2nd to 3rd at 6500rpm. Thats 3 gears left to use lift, and you are still in the power band.

^ thats how i see it thumbsup

sure it's easier, but also trickier since you're likely to bounce off the 7800 rev limiter/fuel cut which is not good for shifting at such a high rpm. If you're hitting the fuel cut and shift...ouch...poor engine and tranny. It's like shifting normally without giving enough gas. Try lifting off the gas just a little to quasi-power shift. It should work. That's what I do on my 02 GTS.

Let me add something: The stock clutch can't take powershifting. It will burn up. Get a Clutchmasters stage 3 kevlar clutch which doesn't slip. That's what I have. Get the lighweight flywheel while you are at it. You can go to mechanic school to save on the labor of dropping your tranny if you don't know how. It's not too bad really. Just be organized with all the parts you take out, and set aside a whole day.

I get my kicks on EC.

if you use the setup you mentioned, you're begging to go slower thumbsup light flywheel on an N/A gts ESPECIALLY an 02 you are only hurting yourself thumbsdown He would be better off changing the limiter. Thats a waste of $$ IMO
