I put them in my last car but that already had the roll bar behind the seats, I heard if you just run the belts down and belt them to the floor you can f--k yourself up in a crash because the belts pull down and compress your spine. So your supposed to have them attached to a roll bar right?

someone said at least a 60 degree angle, but unless you have gutted your car, you really need to have the roll bar. I've seen a pic where someone installed both shoulder harnesses to the rear seatbelt shoulder bolt, but I don't like that since it anchors you off-center toward the door.

ive seen it with one to the side and the other to the center, but it looked goofy having the belts run from the front to the back

the main purpose of the double shoulder harnesses is to prevent lateral motion, so unless you have them going to one point behind you, it's pointless having them.
