ok this has nothing to do with me but about my g/f. she just gave me a call and told me that her insurance is due for her renewal. Then she told me that her premium did not go down. She has been driving for 5 yrs with no tickets and no accidents(*knock on wood*). so she called her insurance company and they told her that DMV has sent them a notice that she got a ticket last november 03 for an unliscence driver...i was like "WTF!!!!!!! angry " the insurance told her they cannot do anything about it that SHE herself has to go to DMV and clear it up. so now she has to go all this trouble and waste time and energy to clear up something that is not her fault angry . knowing that i care about her this pisses me off too, its not fair for her to clean someone elses mistake.
anyone know how to tackle this? its really not fair for her and she should be compinsated for this screw up...any suggestions angry angry angry

Other than find out the person responsible for the mistake...and sue that person there's not much that can be done. and it will take time and energy to find that info too. sux I know. we're all connected in society and one person's mistakes often creates problems for others. When she goes to the DMV to give em hell just go with her and support her.

Unfortunately she's gonna have to go to the dmv and request info on the ticket because no one else can do it but the good news is if theres a mistake she can raise hell with the insurance company and get the rate fixed.

u cant really find out who did it. there are million dmv branches. dont look for the person responsible for it, hold DMV responsible for it. this sucks but it works, so try this. go there and try to talk to a manager or something. tell them wut happened, dont be afraid to be a little rude and be pissed. for sure, there gonna take it out cz shes innocent. depends how big the mistake is, there either gonna fix it instantly or you gonna take them to court. a friend of mine just yelled for less than 3 seconds and everything went his way. oh god, if this ever happened to me i would kick the living shit out of the DMV, cz they always fuck you for every stupid thing, now they pushed ur wrong button, time to show them wut they get being irresponsible. when the cop hit my car, you should have seen my face. first thing he asked me was "are you ok?" i was so mad that i just stared at his face for a while. after asking me three times the same question and turned around and didnt answer his question. i was gonna cuss him out, but an underage friend of mine had alcohol in him (he wasnt driving though), so i didnt want them to search us and all that headache.
this turned to my thread lol. but seriously, just go in there pissed and have them fix it immediately. 5 yrs of no ticket is a talent nowadays in CA

dude... the DMV people in california suck ...

when i moved here i had misery trasnferring over my license...

she's gonna have to go there and take time to clear it up because odds are some dumb shit made a mistake, and they wont fix it...

my only advice is that she makes an appointment, saves like 2 hours of standing in line.

you can find anything out if you really wanted to and had the time, energy and money to spend. but like I said it's not worth it, and yes it's easier to hold the DMV responsible which is obviously what you have to do to have them fix the problem.

just got back from DMV and those bastards cant do SHIT!!!!!
turns out my g/f was supposedly driving w/o a liscnce and she has falilure to appear to court and failure to pay the fine. DMV said that we have to go to the court house to clear it up. guess where it is...IN INDIO CALIFORNIA!!!!!. this is almost 3hrs away from her house that means the ticket was issued in that county, WTF this place is pass palm springs and my g/f has never been to that area angry angry angry angry angry
this is big time BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!
people from DMV said this might take as long as 2 months to clear.this means big time loss wages for her (about $4000)
if she doesnt go to work because she cant drive with a suspended liscence plus she has school loans to pay , a car note, her insurance is $40 more a month because of this she cant afford not to drive to work
THIS IS TOTAL BS I HATE THIS!!!!!!!!SHE IS CRYING HER HEART OUT TO ME AND IT SADENS ME TO SEE HER LIKE THIS< IT IS NOT FAIR!!!!!!!!
ALL THIS FOR AN ERROR THAT SHE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH

I'm really sorry to hear this...this sux big time. At this point, I would seriously contact an attorney. This is injustice. If you want to speak to an attorney and don't want to pay too much like nothing, just pm me and I'll hook you up. Ask AZZKikr...I think he wrote he works for a law firm.

pretty good advice for free is great. it more or less gives you an idea on what route to take...but for serious legal matters that inccur a lot of cost (like marco's gf) you would want professional help, a specialsist who takes care of that portion of the law, rather than a general overview that might lead to benifits or royalties yrt to be unclaimed. yeah dude it's a hot dog stand and on wednesdays they are a law office. rofl
