I just got my s2k antenna and someone stole it. It had lock tight on it and all. The person at home depot said lock tight is just to secure it not to keep someone from removing it. He told me JB Weld will work best. If i use jb weld will i ever be able to remove it>?

^^yeah, but you'd practically have to destroy it to do so.
if you're not worried about getting another antenna anyway..it shouldn't matter.

^^ oo Caleb I see the shovel king is back i like that avitar better over the other one i made you yah lock tight is pretty good they have 3 kinds i believe red, blue, green.. i think???? and each are good and can come off but depending on color some are harder to take off and need some sort of tool.. but heck JB Weld is the best stuff ever i love that junk!! but its basically like you'd be welding the thing on since it is an expoxy type of glue.

well if you lock your antannae on your car and a person tries to steal it again won't they just pull really hard at it breaking the base peice and tear up the antannae? thats what happened to this other guy i know. someone ripped off the rubber on the s2k antannae so there was just this limp plastic rod. he couldn't get it off since it was glued in.

^^ good point too or one could just get some $12 knock off or change to a motorized antenna about $30-$50 for a aftermarket brand

Its only $20 bucks, Erick Yay, I told my dad I heard from Ecelica about locktiting it, but its only so it doesn't vibrate out. Get a rag and a pair of pliers and it's gone. The only other solution (mind the pun) is super glue or epoxy, the second one gets really messy, imo. It'll at least be hard er to pull it off. Theres a screwpiece in the base, so you can't just pull straight out without ripping the base. That would suck and you'd have a hole in the back of your car. Or a naked antenna.

i used the blue locktight glue stick thingy they have, it's a half epoxy stick for "threadlocking" it's called locktight threadlocker stick or soemthing like that, it works well, i just went out w/ a rag and pliers and couldn't get mine off, so it works!

I'm sorry your S2000 antenna was stolen and I'm sure you listen to a lot of radio stations also. It's a $20 piece. Don't eat McDonalds and don't get a twelve pack one day and then you have the antenna back. Life is a lot of small problems that equal one great big one. Don't worry about it. Just get a new one. It might get stolen again with some super hefty glue anyways. I know I could steal your whole car with the S2000 antenna included if I wanted to.
