Im doing a gts swap into my gt and i was wondering do i new a gts ecu or does it hook up to the ecu thats already in my car. I would thing it wouldn't matter or does it? confused

Yes, it does matter. You put in a new instrument cluster also?

yes, you need a new GTS ECU...they are different engines, and thus will need a different engine management system, you'll also need a new tranny (the GTS 6 speed), and posibly motor mounts, aside from a few other things>>>> this might help...go to trial's website (trial.co.jp)...they have this kit...(GT)1ZZ to (GTS) 2ZZ conversion kit $3081.85 (computer not included)
Includes used 2zz engine, necessary mounts and harnesses.

dude 3 grand is expensive as hell. i wouldn't pay more that 1800 for the motor and tranny. you would need the ECU, wiring harness, gauge cluster, and motor mounts.

check http://www.car-parts.com you'll find good prices there.

^^^ yeah, but for that 3 grand you have all the little sensors, and the directions on how to do it properly so you don't ahve to figure it out by yourself
