you really can't go wrong either way.

i like many 5-spoke wheels and i like many multi (more than 5) spoke rims.

vice versa i hate many 5-spoke and also many multi-spoke wheels..it just depends on how they are setup.

soemthing to keep in mind: at a STANDSTILL, odd-numbered spokes (such as 5, 7, 9, etc) suggests 'motion' (sounds odd, but it's true) while even-numbered spokes (6, 8, 10) do not.

the obvious exception is 'split-spokes' (for example: a 5-spoke star wheel that has its spoke's 'split' so that there are technically 10 spokes. although technically even, it still suggests motion because it is set up in an odd style.)

an example of this is the tenzo-r passion-5's (a 5-spoke 'split' star).

Don't go with anymore then 7 spokes, unless its a split star pattern.

what look do you want...the racy look then fewer spokes is better, but if you want "bling bling" the more the merrier. If you are at all into racing, the fewer the spokes the lighter in general. Make me a wheel with more than 6 spokes that weighs less than 10 lbs and is at least 15" in diameter and 6.5" in width, and I'll say you're a genius and deserve the Nobel Prize in rim technology.

BTW, I consider thin split-spokes like Rota Subzeros to be 5 spokes and not 10.

Stick with single digit number of spokes, like 5 or 6. Anything more than that is way too rice, especially whitewall tires with the gold bicycle-like rims, which is Pimp my Ride kinda bullshit. thumbsdown
