Hi guys, this is my first post, and I have a question... hope someone has experience with this. I've got a 2k gts, that I just put a kenwood 7.5 indash tv into, and now I'm trying to hook up a p.s 2. Heres my idea... putting it in the glovebox, not angled down into it, but coming straight in. Now I was wondering, if I cut the top part of the back of the glove box (hope that made sense), will i have enough room for it to slide all the way in without hitting that big unit behind the glovebox (a.c something I think). Would appreciate any help.

Take the glovebox out and that should give you a better idea of where and how much you would need to cut. If you can do this, IMO it would be the best to have the PS2 hidden unless you have the box open to play it. I have my PS1 in the glovebox but obviously that had no problem fitting.

if I were to do it I'd mount it behind the passenger seat like in pic 2 above...I have the newer balck interior so no one would really see it unless they knew it was there

All of those are good ideas but, how do you turn it on since the on/off switch is on the back of the console. confused

I'm gonna take your little Civic. Dust it off. Turn it sideways and stick it straight up you candy A*s.

leave the switch on, and wire the power cord to your car...that way when you turn your car on its ready to go...I think that they have PS2 car install kits now too...so probably have to get one of those

I disagree with that. I personally don't think it is good to have it on all of the time.

To hook up the Ps2 you need a power inverter, which has a switch on it. You can either install the power inverter where you can reach, it and turn the switch on and off from there, or you can hook up a switch in between the power and inverter and the power source, and use that to turn the system on and off.

Understand?

It's a little thing called standby, its been there since they came out, leave the power switch on the back on. Then when your done playing, hold the reset button for like 2 seconds, it will turn off, no need to dick with switchs and crap. Its that simple

i woudln't have it running all the time eihter.

a lot of the time you relocate the switch (and the controller connections. the controllers connections are sometimes relocated to the center console (custom) and i think that is the best place for it. you can also relocate the power switch to an easier location (such as one of the empty switch locations on the left side of the dash below the steering wheel) thumbsup

yep thats what i always do even with the one in my house. Also PS3 i highly doubt will come out for awhile. I'd say probably not till next christmas and then it will take another 3-4 months just to get one cause they will be flying off the shelves like hot cakes.

Plus when the PS3 DOES come out, its probably not gunna be another year for the really GOOD games to come out. Sure, there will be a few good games. but its usually not until the second year of a consoles life span that it has a good library of games thumbsup
