I live in a bad area, back roads, and lots of dump trucks with rocks in them. Every so often a rock hits my car and chips it puke My last car I had to replace the windshield twice in one year because of cracks. Thats just to give you an idea of how bad it can be.

Anyway, I've got chips and scratches on the hood, front bumper, and anywhere else you can think of. Does this happen to everyone else? Your cars always seem so spotless, what secrets are there to keeping the celi sexy and scratch/chip free? Also, what is the best way to repair these damned devil spots? puke

I have several (thankfully very small) paint chips as well.

I don't know how to keep them from happening, but I believe you can get a bottle of touch-up paint from your dealer to fix them!

My car has a lot of chips too, especially on the hood. You can try waxing it really well, or you can do what im trying to save for and get a carbon fiber hood wink

Get a bottle of touch up paint from the dealership and then get a bottle of Langka from their main website. Using those 2 products, you will be able to get rid of those paint chips professionally.

The Langka product works well but I am not able to clean up my paint because the previous owner went crazy when using the touch up paint and now I have nasty looking touch paint everywhere. It was too late for Langka to come and save the day cry

i can polish the scratches on the headlights out

touch up paint is fairly easy to use, but isn't always the best thing to do, only on more non noticeable areas...for others, i recommend having it repainted which does not cost a lot.
save for a Carbon Fiber hood also...i'm getting one and right now don't care what my hood looks like...i take care of it and all, but nothing worries me as much as other parts of the body.

ive got about 6 chips, 2 big scrapes under my drivers foglight where a curb ko'd me, and just the other day my girlfriend backed into me and scraped the bumper right next to the upper grill. not to mention the door dings that come out of nowhere, 5 in all now, and the dent in my hood from a goddamn walnut tree taking a shit on me.

The ones that have turned yellow are not made by 3M, they are knock offs. Just like knock off bodykits, you get what you pay for. If your interested in this material PM me, I have a roll of 3M clear. Trust me it works awesome. Haven't had any rock chip since it's been installed-drive mostly highway too, bugs clean off real easy too.

Sadly, its already too late for my hood. How do the Carbon Fiber's stand up to stuff like that?

Not sure if carbon fiber hoods can chip. Hopefully someone who has one can tell us. There should be no reason why you shouldn't be able to put the 3M clear on it.
