Ok well it is my fault because i was racing and i downshifted on accident and now the car is all fucked up internally. when i got my car i got a 36000 mile warranty which i still have like 10000 left on so far. Is there any tips on how to go about getting it fixed and making sure it is all covered and not to void my warranty? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Plain and simple, If the car is under your parents name have them go and take care of it. They wont suspect foul play. If not, PLAY STUPID. Be like: " I dont know what happened, my car just started acting funny. What the hell..ive been having so many problems with this car and i barely even drove it since i got it." something like that i guess. Seriously though, why race??..ahh it drives me nuts at the idea of people street racing. Its so dumb. But eh ive made a few mistakes too. I guess we all learn sooner or later. Lemme guess. You have a gt, you were losing so you figure the more you downsfhift the bigger the boost? I did that when i first started driving. Ant way, I wish you the best of luck.

I don't think it gets rid of that info.

Just like resetting your ECU doesn't get rid of the mileage either. Better hire a pro if you want to fix it.

Mileage isn't stored in the ECU.

well i dunno about it being stored because it still starts up now.. i am thinking the lifters just went all because of the over rev.. but my friend said the over rev shouldn't be recorded now because i have started it up a few times, and stuff.

oh racing is fun dude .. i mean i fucked up this time .. but if i get it all fixed this time i am gonna do up the motor more so i dont' have to worry about getting beat.. and i have gts.. it is pointless for anyone to ever get a gt.. waste of money.

It'll probably be recorded. I remember someone here did the same thing a while back, drove their car all the way to the dealership with it barely running... and they said the tach hit like 9500 eek

Unless they can prove you were racing, how sure are we all that over reving voids the warrenty? I think it still has to be covered...

And yes, I STRONGLY suggest that you let your parents handle it, if the title is in their name. You shouldn't even go with. Nobody thinks someone over the age of 40 races. Everyone assumes any kid with a GTS races.

well my parents have nothing to do with the car.. so it is all in my name anyway and only on me... but either way it is actually their bad engineering that the over rev happens that way.. i mean anyone can downshift.. i've also saw on here that a guy did the same thing and it just made the lifters tick a lil and he did the over rev and he got a new engine through the warranty.. so i guess i'll just have to see what happens.. thanks for the info though all.

at least this GT owner doesn't have to spend money on an engine you're a dork dude...an automobile is not a waste of money if it does what you want it to do...ie look awesome, run awesome...handle even better...and above all fit a budget...I garuntee I spend far less than you did and wil contiue to spend less than you over the years...if you really wanted a race car...then the GTS is a waste of money too...SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN A SUPRA TT, 350Z, WRX...but I'll let your ignroance go rice

There is no way they would cover it. That's like hitting a brick wall and expecting them to cover it.

Give this a try: Take fucking responsibility for your screw up. If you had misbraked and crashed into the car in front of you, would you be here asking how to get someone or some company to pay for your damage? Probably. Grow up and take your lumps like a man and drop the crappy engineering drone. You broke your car because you misshifted causing your engine to blow so you and only you should pay for it.

BTW, Where are the moderators when it comes to these how to steal threads? Eh!
