ok I got into a small accident about a month ago. the damage was to the hood, front bumper, and some of the radiator. they estimated about 2 and a half weeks to repair the damage. its now been almost 5 weeks and now its at the dealership bodyshop b/c they said the car was overheating. now the Toyota dealership is telling me its b/c of a blown head gasket.

my question is: can you blow a headgasket from a minor accident?

all i want is my car back b/c my rental car goes back tomorrow and now i dont have a way to get to work.

angry Fuck alamo body and paint.

yes, you can get a blown headgasket from a head on minor accident...I was in one a few years ago, and my radiator got pushed back into my engine fan, and my car overheated...due to a blown headgasket...you may have severed a radiator line, or the radiator itself, but either way its gonna cost you probably around $1,200 to fix...good luck bro

well my insurance is covering it, but it pisses me off that it took them 4 and a half weeks to repaint and repair everything, then find a blown gasket. thanks for the info.

Do you have rental car coverage?

When my Hyundai burned to the ground (mechanical failure), I had a rental car for 6 weeks. That poor sunfire had 2,000KM when I picked it up & I returned it with a knocking engine. iamstfu

Yea I've had the rental car for a month, but they called sayin the insurance coverage time was up. Now the dealership has to call the rental car place b/c they said I wont get my Celi back till the end of the week. A damn week to replace a headgasket. angry

LOL, looks like you blew a headgasket because your radiator wasn't fixed correctly.
