Hey guys, I've been wanting to light up my climate controls again, and didn't want to deal with neons because they are very sensitive and expensive, so I want to try something new. Check this eBay auction here... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...sspagename=WDVW [ cgi.ebay.com] See how the LEDs are arranged on the board like that? I was thinking of getting like 2 or three of these, and mounting them in there somehow. I bought like 10 10mm LED's, but noticed that they were very hard to aim, and moved around a lot, so something like this mounted on a board might work better. Just a thought though. I'm also considering using 1 or 2 dome light type bulbs, hardwiring them into the cig lighter power source, and putting those back there. Using a bulb over a LED appeals to me more due to the fact that light is dispersed from them at all angles. Question is, who sells blue dome light type bulbs, and how easy are they to hardwire? Also, anyone have any other ideas of a type of bulb I could use? I was thinking of going to Walmart on the way home from work (it'll be like midnight, and it's the only place open) and buy a type of small blue bulb that I could stick in there and hardwire. Any ideas?

Tried it, and it wasn't bright enough. I think perhaps a wedge bulb like in the link below would work well also, but I'm trying to find one that is a bulb and doesn't contain LED's. Digikey.com doesn't have them.

Anyone have a site that sells automotive lighting products, especially wedge bulbs?

http://www.mge-usa.com/home/detail.asp?iPro=191&iType=802$6.99 at Frys Electronics... Buy two packages, remove the black/silver plastic LED housing, place behind your fan speed controler - one set of 3 point left, the other set pointing right... splice into the power of your cig lighter light and you're done

Thanks Isaac. I take it that's what you used in your project? Oh, and BTW, like 2 minutes ago, I tried ordering a set of bulbs from the Ecelica Store, and it said there was an error. Should I send it again, or did you receive my payment?
