So, now I have decided to have my tranny swapped to a manual as my next mod! But I got diffferent answers from different shops about ECU. Some say that I need a one from a manual and other shops say it doesnt need to be replaced. Does anyone know the truth.
Also, can I just get management system (Apex PFC, Greddy Emanange) to replace the ECU instead?

ECU's come in AT & MT configs, its written right on the ECU. So yes, unless you go with power FC, your going to need a new ECU (~$150 at a scrap yard).

Just get a stock ECU for the MT from the scrap yard. Power FC is a big investment & not worth it if you aren't doing some serious mods, IMO.

So many people are getting these now, and don't realize that they have to be seriously calibrated if they want maximum gains. They also don't realize that they have to watch these things with a close eye, and really take care of their cars since they won't be pinging CELs and since it will put more stress on their engines.

It's also not a cheap mod. for me though its the best mod i've got so far
